Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order something in a size or finish not listed?
Absolutely. Every piece we create is handcrafted, and we understand that every project or space is unique. If you have a particular size, finish, or design idea in mind that isn’t listed on our site, please get in touch. We love collaborating on bespoke commissions and will work closely with you to explore options that fit your vision perfectly. Whether it’s adjusting dimensions or selecting a finish that complements your interior, your satisfaction and the piece’s harmony with your space are our priorities. Reach out anytime at hello@new.yaffleandbosk.com to start a conversation.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Our tables and larger furniture pieces are carefully made to order, and this craftsmanship takes time. Typically, you can expect an 8 to 10-week lead time for table orders, though during particularly busy periods, this might extend slightly. We always aim to communicate transparently and will confirm exact timings within two weeks of delivery – sooner if we can. Rest assured, we’ll keep communicating with you and please do get in touch if you want an update. We appreciate your patience—every piece is worth the wait, crafted with attention to detail and built to last. If you have questions about your order timeline, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Can I visit Yaffle & Bosk?
We warmly welcome visitors to experience Yaffle & Bosk in person, but visits must be by appointment. Our workshop space is a working studio, so arranging a visit ensures we can give you the attention and access you deserve without interrupting our craft. During a visit, you’ll see not just finished pieces, but also the process of furniture coming to life, as well as beautiful native timbers at every stage. If you’d like to plan a visit, please contact us in advance at hello@new.yaffleandbosk.com or by phone, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Does Yaffle & Bosk have a showroom?
While we don’t operate a formal showroom, we have a dedicated studio adjacent to our workshop showcasing a selection of our pieces. Because each piece we make is commissioned, we don’t often sit on any surplus stock, but we do have each table frame, timber, finish and colour samples within our workshop. This allows us to share a selection of our current pieces alongside works in progress, offering a more intimate and authentic glimpse into our craft. You’ll be able to see the natural variation in our native timbers firsthand, and discuss options directly with our team in the workshop. We recommend booking a time to visit in advance at hello@new.yaffleandbosk.com, so we can ensure the best experience for you.
Where do you source your timber?
Our timber is carefully sourced from local Grown in Britain accredited sawmills, exclusively using native hardwood species. We choose these timbers not for uniformity but for their character, texture, and connection to the landscape. By working with locally grown, sustainably harvested wood, we reduce environmental impact and support British forestry stewardship. Each piece of wood carries its own story, and we honour that through respectful selection and attentive craftsmanship.
Do you really make all your products?
Yes! Every item bearing the Yaffle & Bosk name is either crafted by us or made for us by skilled local artisans within the UK. While some components like hardware or finishes come from trusted suppliers, the heart of our work—from timber selection to joinery and finishing—is proudly handmade in Devon. Soon, we’ll be showcasing collaborations with other exceptional local makers who share our values, so watch this space for new additions.
Can I talk to Yaffle & Bosk?
Absolutely. We love hearing from customers, designers, and collaborators. To ensure we can give your inquiry the attention it deserves, we recommend reaching out by email at hello@new.yaffleandbosk.com or using our website contact form as a first step. Our workshop can be very busy, and phone calls may not always be answered immediately, but we do monitor voicemails regularly and will respond as soon as possible. Your questions and ideas are important to us, and we strive to reply promptly.
How will my item be delivered?
We are wholly transparent about delivery costs and do not offer ‘free’ delivery by building it into the overall cost of your furniture/table. This cost is factored according to where you live and therefore how far we need to drive to deliver your item. We do not use 3rd party or independent couriers, instead a member of the Y&B team will deliver, help unload, install or assemble your furniture and explain aftercare.
Because all of our tables are solid, heavy, and crafted to last, assistance will be required to unload them. We recommend planning accordingly or opting for a two-person delivery service, which we can arrange for an additional fee.
Please ensure your property has adequate access/parking etc for a large van type vehicle. And note that any parking costs will be chargeable.
Please do also check access through doorways of your home etc are of adequate size.
Please do look at our Delivery & Returns page for further detail. If you have specific delivery questions or requirements, please contact us at hello@new.yaffleandbosk.com, and we’ll help coordinate the best option.
